Dia:Beacon

The Dia museum exhibits art from the 1960s to the present. The Dia also connects Beacon to many visitors from New York City who might first have experienced the original Dia in Chelsea, NYC. The art galleries represent a beautiful tapestry of artist who live in the Hudson Valley. More »

Constellation

Melissa McGill’s light-based land art project, Constellation, emerges nightly over the Bannerman castle ruin on the mysterious Pollepel Island in the Hudson River, 50 miles north of New York City. Launched in 2015, the project has been extended for one final year with weekend sunset boat tours departing from Beacon, NY, through October 8, 2017. More »

Beacon is full of a rich diversity of art and galleries. These art galleries represent a beautiful tapestry of artist who live in the Hudson Valley. Storm King Art Center

One of the world’s largest outdoor sculpture parks, Storm King Art Center is a 30 minute drive from Beacon and is located New Windsor, NY. Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival

The Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival engages the widest possible audience in a fresh conversation about what is essential in Shakespeare’s plays. The theater lives in the here and now, at the intersection between the virtuosity of the actor, the imagination of the audience, and the inspiration of the text.

Philipstown Depot Theatre

The Philipstown Depot Theatre is a unique community-based performing arts center that connects families and individuals in the lower Hudson River Valley with the best in high-caliber affordable theater, music and films. The theater entertains, educates and informs audiences with its programs and productions administered in partnership with the Town of Philipstown Recreation Department.
