As Storm King winds down for the season, we will be posting #StormKingSuggests every Sunday, highlighting art exhibitions and events you won’t want to miss. “Fluid Expressions: The Prints of Hellen Frankenthaler” at The Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center at Vassar College, only 45 minutes away from Storm King, is on view through December 10. Widely known for her inventive “soak-stain” paintings, Frankenthaler’s equally innovative and evocative prints highlight a medium not often explored by the expressionists. Breaking boundaries in medium, technique, and the male-dominated art world, Frankenthaler has famously said, “There are no rules. That is how art is born, how breakthroughs happen. Go against the rules or ignore the rules. That is what invention is about.” . . #helenfrankenthaler #theloebmuseum #expressionism
